Service Description

Ear candling is a gentle, non-invasive treatment designed to help remove excess wax and impurities from the ear canal while promoting a sense of deep relaxation. A hollow candle made from cotton and beeswax is placed gently in the ear and lit at the opposite end. The warmth and light vacuum effect help to draw out wax and debris while soothing the surrounding area. This treatment can also help ease sinus congestion, headaches, and pressure caused by colds or allergies, leaving you feeling clear and refreshed. Contraindications (when ear candling should not be performed): • Perforated eardrum • Grommets, ear tubes, or recent ear surgery • Ear infection, inflammation, or discharge • Mastoiditis • Recent ear piercing (within 72 hours) • Known allergy to beeswax or candle materials • Severe sinus infection • Recent head, neck, or jaw injury Possible Contra-actions (what may occur after treatment): • Slight crackling or popping sounds in the ears for a few hours • Temporary itching or tingling in the ear canal • Mild dizziness due to changes in pressure • Small flakes of wax or residue appearing after treatment (this is normal and temporary) Clients are advised to keep ears dry for at least 24 hours after treatment and avoid inserting cotton buds or other objects into the ear canal.
